I could feel his desire, the raw feeling of pleasure that came over him. As he continued to tease me, I could feel my body becoming more urgent, and of course, my hips moved against his own.

He groaned, holding me there as I started to grind against him, teasing him slightly.

“God, get your pants off, I don’t know how much of this I can take,” he growled.

I smiled at him, feeling impish as he looked at me with those big eyes. I felt like I had control, power, and I loved it.

I moved off of him, pulling my pants and panties off, tossing them to the side. I looked over for a moment, seeing if there was anyone around.

“Don’t worry, nobody uses this place except for me. So, we’re good,” he said.

I nodded, moving towards him, moving to his pants and undoing them, pulling his dick out from the confines. He let out a hiss as I touched it, stroking it and feeling it harden even more against my touch.

  “You good?” I purred.

He nodded, looking at me with expectant eyes as I started to move my tongue over the tip of his cock, breathing over the edge of it.

He looked at me with widened eyes, and soon, he started to look at me as I moved my lips to the tip, touching it barely with my lips and then moving them downwards.

I couldn’t help but love it as he started to grip my head, holding it there as I moved downwards. I started to feel his hands hold me there, and I moved all the way down, taking it deep into my mouth.

He shuddered, moaning in pleasure as he felt me take him all the way in. I started to feel my throat slightly gag, but that was for a moment. I continued bobbing my head, moving up and down and watching as Stephan held me there, looking at me dead in the eye and moaning.

“God you’re so good,” he said, his hands holding me there, tugging slightly. I let out a small cry as he pushed my head downwards, feeing the small gag reflex in the back of my throat. I started to take him further and further, holding my body there, sucking him all the way up. When I finally pulled away, I let out a gasp.

I felt the urge for him, the craving for him, and as I looked him in the eyes, I could see the wrought desire. I moved over his cock, slipping down on it, and feeling him fill me up.

I held him, moving my body up and down, and as I did that, I watched Stephan throw his head back, groaning in pleasure. I continued to slowly grind my hips, reveling in the sensations I saw played in his eyes in response to my actions. I smiled, enjoying every moment of him holding onto the couch, then later on me. I almost felt that I was losing my mind as I felt him fill me up even more. The feeling of his cock brushing against me and the rocking against my body was truly mind-blowing.

I just wanted to lose myself. For a bit, I held him there, taking it slow, but then, a few moments later, I started to rock my hips a little bit faster, feeling the pleasure of the moment as I started to hold him there. I began to cry out, feeling my entire body move faster, almost as if it had a mind of its own.

Stephan grasped my breasts, teasing them with his hands and lips, touching the very tips of my nipples and making me shiver with delight. I moved my hips a little bit, touching them slightly, and then, I started to move my hips a little bit more, twerking them as I rode his dick. He gripped my hips, holding me there, pressing in, and looking at me.

“I don’t think I can hold on much longer,” he groaned.

The look in his eyes said it all. He was completely enthralled by the feeling of my body against his, of his cock inside me. After a few more deep thrusts, I felt his fingers dig into the flesh on my hips as he lifted me up, and then, he cried out.

He released all over my stomach, causing me to let out a tiny cry of surprise. He then moved his hands to my clit, touching the very tip of it and rubbing it slightly. As he did that, I leaned in, letting him continue to service my body until I felt the thrill of my own orgasm wash over me.

It was heavenly. Everything about this was perfect. When he finally pulled back, he looked me in the eyes, his gaze saying it all.

  “You’re good, right?”

‘I’m wonderful, Stephan, but I worry about you. You’re scared of what’s next. Even though we’ve agreed to stay together, you’re still worried.”

  He turned away, nodding.

“Yeah. I’m not going to let this bother me. I’ll let you know a little more about what this will mean for the two of us tomorrow if that’s okay.”

  I nodded.

“Yeah. That’s fine. I’m just worried about you, Stephan. You’ve been through hell and back with the gang, and I don’t want you to have to worry about me.”

He put his arm on my shoulder, looking me dead in the eye.

“You’re worth worrying over, Laney. If I didn’t think that way, I would’ve told you to get the hell out a long time ago,” he teased.

I wasn’t sure if that was a compliment or not, but I guess I’d take it anyway.

“Thanks. So, this is one of the buildings you use for meetings?” I asked, looking around the place. It honestly looked practically unused at this point.

“Yeah, but it’s been a while since we had to call a meeting. But I’m worried if they attack us again, we might need to,” Stephen explained. His head was down, and he looked away.

“What do you mean? Would a meeting be bad?’ I asked.

  He nodded.

“The last time a meeting was called was during the last turf war. That was between those in the lower part of the city, and well … back when Robert was the leader. We didn’t even call one when he was killed, because I was in charge. But, if we keep getting targeted harassment, we’re going to have to do something about this. I do have a second in command. His name is Heusinger, and he works at the tattoo shop. He’s a confidant that Robert used throughout most of his life, and that man told me all about the skeletons in Robert’s closet after he died. That’s why I do worry about what this whole mess with you might instigate. It seems The Tigers have a reason to eliminate both of us, but I’m just not sure what at this point.”

I could see the frustration behind the frown on his face, along with the confusion and mild fear this provided. I mean, if I were him, I’d be doing the same thing.

“You’re fine, Stephan. Trust me on that. I’m just … glad that you’re here, and glad that you care so much about me that you want to protect me. If it does require fighting, just let me know. I’ll see if I can help at all.”

I didn’t know what I could do. I had zero combat skills, and Stephan seemed like the type of man who didn’t want anyone holding him back. But I could also see in his eyes that he was scared, and that fear alone was enough to at least try to convince him to stick around.

I wanted to help as best as I could. It may not be easy, and I may be a burden from time to time, but I at least wanted to try.

“Thanks for everything, Laney. I’m serious, you’re the best.”

  “The feeling is mutual, Stephan.”

We kissed, and as we cuddled together on the bed, gradually falling asleep in one another’s arms, I could sense the happiness that lurked within him.

He didn’t have an easy life, but whenever I felt his strong arms around me, breathed in his wafting scent of expensive cologne that smelled so good, and looked into his green eyes, I felt a happiness that I never got anywhere else.

I’m just happy to be loved for who I am. Being a thicker girl has never been easy, and I honestly sometimes feel like it’s more hellish than anything else. But, when I’m with Stephan, I feel like no matter what the odds, no matter what happens to the two of us we will make it work.

That’s just the beauty of having someone so special like that. We can make it work, no matter what.

As I started to fall asleep, he hugged my curvy body, playing with my brown hair.

  It was perfect.

But the next morning when I woke up, he was gone again.

I immediately felt fear. Did he run off again? Did he leave home again? I thought that we agreed not to do
that shit anymore! But, as I stepped outside, I noticed Stephan was there, holding his phone to his ear.

“Yes Meryl, I’ve got time. What the heck is going on? Do we need to talk in person? Yes, I spoke with Laney about it yesterday? She wants to stick around. Yes, even though it’s dangerous, she wants to,” he was saying.

I didn’t want Stephan to know I was awake yet. I could see the frown on his face. Who was this Meryl lady anyway? Was she a friend?

I didn’t think she was a lover or anything because I could tell that the worry on his face trumped her connection to me. But then, I saw his face grow hollow.

“Wait! You’re serious? Oh no, that’s not good. Please tell me you’re joking, Meryl!”

There was about a minute of pause. I could see from the way he looked that something was wrong. His face then turned into a look of pure horror; his mouth agape. He didn’t know what to say. I could see the fear in his eyes.

After a second, he relaxed, and when he finally remembered how to speak, he talked again.

“I see. Thank you very much, Meryl. You can come over, and we can talk about this. We’re definitely going to have to hold a meeting regarding this. I don’t know what I’m going to do about it. I honestly … don’t know what the fuck I’m going to do. But, thanks for telling me about what’s going on. I do like being in the know.”

He said goodbye to the other woman on the other end, someone who I figured out was named Meryl. When he finished the call, he turned to me, looking at me in the eyes.

“How much did you hear?” he asked.

  I flushed.

“Enough to know there’s something wrong,” I said.

“Yeah well, that’s putting it nicely. Meryl is coming over in a little bit. She’s the woman I told you about. She’s one of the main people I’ve relied on for a long time, and she’s one of my informants. She’s third in command. And well … she might be second in command starting tomorrow.”

  “What happened?”

“Well, remember my second in command, Heusinger? Turns out he was followed yesterday by one of the tigers. He was shot, and right now … he’s in a coma. He hasn’t woken up yet.”

My eyes widened, and my mouth formed an O.

“So … what does that mean?”.

“It means a gang war might be closer than we thought unless something changes.”

  Chapter 1: Stephan

  A gang war.

I knew it was coming, I just didn’t expect it to be this soon. I mean, I know that with the way the Tigers have been acting, something was funny. But I wanted to hear from Meryl on his condition first before I made any rash decisions.

I got myself ready and tried to clean up the hideout. Luckily, this location was pretty much left unused. But then I saw Laney’s face, and that pretty much said it all. I looked at her, and I had a feeling that she had something she needed to say.

  “What’s the matter?”

“I’m just shocked that’s all. So, is he really dead?” she asked.

I could tell from the downcast look that Laney wasn’t used to hearing something like this. Death and dying wasn’t normally on the agenda, at least for her. For me, it was a way of life, but I could see why she would be upset by it.

“I don’t know. I can only hope that she’s alive. Let’s wait till Meryl shows up before we make any rash decisions. I want to assess all the different parts of this before we even consider a gang war. And I want to know how. I want to know how in the world this is happening.”

I couldn’t just let Heusinger’s death happen in vain. He was one of Robert’s finest confidants, but at the same time, I also feared what might happen next, and how things would be. I looked at Laney, noticing that she had her lips pursed, and I could see her body shaking slightly. I leaned in, grasping her hand and squeezing it.

“It’ll be okay, Laney. Trust me on this.”

But those words felt hollow, even to me. I didn’t know if she would be safe, if this would be fine. I wanted to believe so. I wanted to believe I could protect her but I just didn’t honestly know at this point. I knew that this could either benefit or backfire in my face.

The fact that all of this was happening so quickly, that Heusinger was killed in cold blood, annoyed me. It was like I was powerless to the world around me. When I heard a knock at the door, with the secret code that I knew and understood, I quickly raced to the door. I checked the peephole, and then, I opened it.

  “Meryl.”

“No time. Let me in now. I had some fuckers tailing me,” she growled, as she brushed past me.

I closed the door and locked it the moment she had passed me. I prayed that nobody followed her.

“Anyways, what the fuck is going on?”

“Well, what do you think is going on? The world is on the verge of war, and this was to goad us, to push us to actually make a statement, to make a choice. We have to think of something, Stephan.”

  “What do you mean?”

“I mean our future choices. Listen, Stephan, I know that this isn’t what you wanted, but I swear, I’ll stand by you no matter what. We need to choose whether we’re going to fight or not.”

I looked over at Laney. She appeared torn.

“What’s the matter, Laney?” Meryl asked, beating me to it.

Meryl’s eyes locked onto mine, there was a slight look of annoyance there, but also concern. She didn’t know whether Laney would stand by me through all of this. And I didn’t blame her suspicions because she had no idea who she was.

“This is just a lot. That’s all,” Laney said.

  Meryl nodded.

“Yeah, it’s a lot for any of us. But Heusinger was a big part of our group. He’s one of the oldest members, but I don’t know whether or not this will change how things go from here on out. I feel we need to attack, but I’m just … not sure how yet,” Meryl said.

  I nodded.

“The feeling is mutual. I definitely don’t know what to do either. I mean, if we’re hasty about it, that just leaves us open for a counterattack. But, if we don’t do something, they’ll take it as a sign that they can do it again. Which is the last thing we want,” I admitted.

“I think … I think fighting might be a good idea. If you guys do go to war though, what about the civilians? Will people get hurt?” Laney asked.

I felt my body tense. I didn’t know what to tell Laney. On the one hand, being honest about the attack would make her feel a bit more at ease, at least that’s what I thought. But could I get her involved. Laney seemed to have a lot going on as well.

“Laney, if you don’t want to be a part of this, now is the time to speak. This whole mess is about to get worse. I’m not saying that fighting will happen, but us doing something in retaliation is inevitable. Heusinger was a good man, and now he’s comatose because of this…”

I raised my hand, stopping Meryl’s tirade in mid flow. Laney looked like she was ab
out to cry. I had a feeling I knew why. I bet she was mulling it over whether or not she should stay.

“Laney, I’m going to be honest. Meryl here is being very upfront, but it’s the truth. Heusinger was one of the men I consulted, and you met him that night at the tattoo parlor. I can’t let his death go in vain,” I told Laney with a sigh.

Laney looked at me, and then back at Meryl.

“I’m staying,” she said, answering my unspoken question.

Meryl’s eyes widened, and she immediately whistled.

“Damn, Stephan, you got a feisty one there. You sure about that, Laney?”

“Yes, Meryl. I knew what I was getting into falling for Stephan like this. I tried to escape my feelings, but I can’t. I can’t lie to my goddamn self. If I continue to do that, I’m never going to be happy. I love and care more about Stephan than I ever thought possible. He makes some feel like I’m a part of something bigger, like I’m whole. My ex he … he made me feel like nothing, and I honestly am curious about his connection to The Tigers,” Laney explained.

  Meryl’s eyes widened in shock.

“Who is your ex, if you don’t mind me asking?”

Laney stopped, looking towards me to make sure it was okay. I nodded, trying to reassure her.

“It’s okay,” I finally said, putting my hands through my ponytail, and then over to my pockets, keeping them there.

Meryl looked at Laney with a focused glance, and I hope that it didn’t scare her off. But then, Laney nodded.

  “My ex is—”

As soon as she was about to say it, an explosion flooded through the entire joint. All of a sudden, there was a giant hole was in the wall. I immediately grabbed Laney, pushing her underneath the desk, looking at Meryl. We nodded to each other, both of us immediately realizing that this was another attack, another big move on their part. This would for sure not go unanswered.
